  •  I just installed SnapCenter 3.0 and I have been trying to add a new storage using the vsadmin credentials to no avail. I have even had to reset the vsadmin password and unlock the vsadmin account via command line. Trying to add the CDOT 9.0 storage SVM via FQDN or Management IP fails. Can anyone help? See screenshots below.

  • We are running multiple Oracle DB's, each with it's own IP, DNS and Listener, on the same Linux Server. The Plugin does set the Hostname to the Linux Server Name. When I try to add a Runas Key for a Oracle DB the jdbc Connection String contains the FQHN as Hostname where no Listener is running. How can I set the IP or DNS of the Oracle Listener in the Oracle DB Resource ? How do other Users handle...

  • Hello together We want to backup volumes from our secondary NetApp (ONTAP) to tape controlled by Commvault. It should only backup the last monthly snapshot from snapvault to tape. This works when we add the complete path (/svm_name/volume_name/.snapshot/snap_date_time__monthly) in the content of the subclient from Commvault. Our problem is that we have a lot of volumes which also have a lot of sna...

  • I'm having trouble trying to get a clone to work from powershell. We have a nightly backup that occurs, and I just want to use that to create a clone of one of the databases, or all, doesn't matter at this point to another host.  Right now the command looks like this: PS C:\computer> New-SmClone -BackupName "SQL Nightly Backup 10-04-2017_22.00.15.0920" -Resources @{"Host"="sql16-test.domain.com";"...

  • We're backing up a 3 node Windows 2012 sql cluster. The cluster is hardware based attached using FCP luns. Backups were working fine until the SQL instance flipped onto a new node. Now when the backup runs we get "Message:No SQL resource is discovered on the host. Check SQL resource(s) state on the host" I can confirm SQL is running on the host. It seems that Snapcenter can't figure out what host ...

  • I have a SQL Server instance with several databases, all in the same lun. I have created a resoure group for these databases so they are all backed up together as one volume snapshot. I now want to clone them all to another server. As far as I can see there is no option to do this other than to clone each database individually. This is not only time consuming but also results in a separate volume ...
