SpringSource was the company created by the founders of the Spring Framework (a programming model for enterprise Java applications) to support and develop Spring and related projects. Originally incorporated as Interface 21, it was renamed SpringSource in 2008 to better reflect its main business. Over time most of the Spring developers were employed full-time by the company which offered training and consulting services to finance its activities (Spring itself is open source and is freely available to all). Recognizing that the platform of choice for most Spring applications was Apache Tomcat, SpringSource merged with Covalent in January 29, 2008. Like SpringSource, Covalent was the financial vehicle supporting some of the developers of Tomcat.

  • We would like to go over a code-on-demand platform that we have developed for our customers. The platform works best for microservices or new feature development. Customers input the user stories and acceptance criteria that they need to be developed, and provide us access to their code base and/or APIs. We then go to work for them and turn around code in 24-48 hours. Customers only pay once cod...

  • To simplify development and deployment, you want everything in the same artifact, so you put your React app “inside” your Spring Boot app, right? But what if you could create your React app as a standalone app and make cross-origin requests to your API? A client app that can point to any server makes it easy to test your current client code against other servers (e.g. test, staging, production). T...
